Château Pontet-Canet Dinner by Eminent Wines

Tuesday 2nd May

Château Pontet-Canet is one of the most iconic Cru Classé in Pauillac which has gained its notoriety due to not only the high quality of the wines but also the bio-dynamic philosophy that Alfred Tesseron brought to his vineyard in 2004 after a long period of organic viticulture. Now most of the work in the middle of both Cabernets (Sauvignon & Franc) and Merlot is done by horse instead of by truck. Members enjoyed a very special Champagne on the Terrace, Champagne Charles Orban Cuvee Roger Daltrey, before moving to the Private Dining Room where Tesseron explained his vision during a wonderful decade of vintages paired with a bespoke four-course menu which featured organic ingredients, including raw milk butter and pedigree beef from Dartmoor National Park to complement the winemaker's philosophy carefully curated by Annabel's Head Chef Ryan Brown.
